Giving Back to Tampa Bay

Old McMicky’s Farm is committed to giving back to our community.

Old McMicky’s Farm received a Special Commendation from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners recognizing the Farm for creating an outstanding family friendly venue giving kids and families a taste of life on a working farm, and for the Farm’s many programs focused on giving back to the Tampa Bay community. Please see the video.

“1000 Kids” Program

Help Old McMicky's Farm as we welcome "1000 Kids" to a day of fun & education.

Each year, the farm’s “1000 Kids” Program has the goal of welcoming 1,000 kids in the Tampa Bay area who are facing challenges to come out for a great day at the farm and enjoy amazing moments with animals and activities in an atmosphere of love and fun – no charge. In 2014, the farm was honored to create a great day for 1276 kids under the program and 1036 in 2015. In 2016, we are up to 442 kids year-to-date.

Old McMicky's Farm donates dream wedding to a few lucky veterans every year at our serene & rustic, lake-front barn.

“Mission I Do” provides free dream weddings to wounded Veterans. Old McMicky’s Farm has donated over $125,000 in weddings to Active Military and Veterans through “Mission I Do”.

The first free wedding occurred November 16, 2014 for  Jacob and Brittany Leach.
The second free wedding just occurred in February 6, 2015 – for Greg and Kathleen Evans. Both Kathleen and Greg are Veterans and both incurred injuries in combat.
In 2016, Old McMicky’s Farm will host 3 free “Mission I Do” dream weddings.

Foster Child Fun Day on the Farm

Over 400 Foster Kids and Their Families (Over 600 People) came out to enjoy an amazing, fun-filled day at the farm.
The Farm invited all of the Children in Foster Care in the Tampa Bay Area and their caregivers to come out for a day at the Farm Free of Charge.
The purpose of the day was to provide local foster children a great day and great memories for their life, and to thank and encourage all of the foster parents and caregivers who provide safe, loving homes for the children.
